Thai Yoga Massage
Thai yoga massage is also known as Thai Nuad Boran or Traditional Thai Therapy. It is an ancient healing art which has its roots in Indian Auyrvedic medicine over 2,500 years ago. It was originally designed by Dr Jivaka to help Buddhist monks who spent many hours meditating every day in the crossed-legs lotus position. It has been practised in Thailand since Buddhist monks moved to Thailand, taking this medical practice with them.
It differs from what most people in the West regard as massage because it is carried out on a comfortable floor mat, you remain fully clothed and no oils are used. It combines stretches, acupressure and massage and is applied through the use of the therapists hands, feet, elbows and forearms in a series of moves to help stretch your muscles, mobilise your joints and balance the energy in your body.
It is uniquely relaxing, yet energising and is a highly effective treatment that is ideal for anyone, regardless of age, level of fitness or flexibility. Every session is different and is designed specially for you, treating your individual needs and preferences each time you visit.

What should I do before the massage?
Please dress in loose, warm and comfortable clothes such as soft track bottoms and t-shirt, so you stay comfortable and your movement is not restricted during the treatment.
Please don't eat a heavy meal beforehand or you may feel uncomfortable. If you need to eat something, a light snack such as a banana and yoghurt is fine about an hour before your appointment.

What will happen?
A short but relevant medical and lifestyle history is taken that helps me to tailor the massage to your needs and allows us to discuss any matters of concern you may have. This is completely confidential. At the end of the treatment, if you wish, I can show you appropriate exercises so you can continue to treat yourself at home in between appointments.
Thai foot massage
A Thai foot massage lasts for one hour and is carried out on a massage table. It treats the acupressure points in the feet and lower legs using a non-perfumed massage lotion on your feet and lower legs. It is incredibly relaxing too...
Our feet are crucial to our well-being since they form our very foundation for walking and lack of flexibility and problems such as plantar fasciitis (inflammation of the connective tissue in the base of the foot) are common and can affect our ability to walk properly, as well as being very painful and debilitating. Problems in the feet can also lead to knee and hip pain and lower back problems, which can occur if these joints attempt to compensate for lack of movement in the feet, so their health is of paramount importance.

Sport/Thai fusion massage
You might want to try a combination of Sport massage and Thai Yoga massage stretches.
This treatment uses sports massage techniques as appropriate and also includes some of the good mobilisation stretches used in Traditional Thai Yoga massage. It therefore works on your muscles and other soft tissue as well as stretching your joints and soft tissue.
The treatment lasts for one hour and is carried out on a massage couch using massage creams. You will be draped in towels to keep you warm.

On-site Seated Thai Therapy
This is a versatile treatment using Traditional Thai Massage seated techniques that I have adapted for use in a specially designed chair. The treatments include work on the shoulders, back, arms, hands, neck and head, leaving your employees or customers feeling relaxed, energised and refreshed.
The techniques adapt well for the portable ergonomic chair that is particularly good in a work or other environment as the treatment is carried out through clothing and no oils or creams are used.
Thai Seated Therapy is a cost-effective way of rewarding your staff or customers and showing your commitment to the health needs of the people who work for you.
It promotes the health and well-being of staff members - reducing work-related stress, headaches and may prevent some work-related health conditions and time off sick.
In order to be effective, the treatments are 30 minutes for each person.
Inclusive price is £37.50 per hour - no hidden extras
Copies of insurance documents and qualifications will be supplied for your records
Please contact me if you would like to discuss your requirements or to book
